The observatory was build in the summer of 2006. It was a 'roll-off roof' design made by modifying a 3x3m garden shed from the local shop. The main telescope was mounted on an APT wedge on a concrete pier (Ø25cm). To keep the inside temperature as close to the ambient temperature as possible no insulation had been used. A dehumidifier was installed to ensure that the humidity is low even on rainy days. An old PC was used to control the telescope and cameras during image aquisitions.
